All rooms are comfortably equipped with direct dial telephones, voicemail, and cable television. Both smoking and non-smoking rooms are available. Three entire floors are dedicated to non-smoking rooms.

If you need a car for a day, rent one near the hotel and return it at the end of your drive so you don’t have to pay for overnight parking. The finest (and most authentic) examples of every cuisine imaginable are just steps from our door. On the premises, guests can enjoy David’s Delicatessen, San Francisco’s most celebrated delicatessen/restaurant/patisserie since 1952. David’s is open for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and take-out, featuring Old-World Bravura Cuisine. Guests of the hotel receive a 10% discount off all items on David's regular menu (not including daily specials.)

Reservations Policies

The Touchstone requires a valid credit card for deposit or an advance deposit by cash or check equal to one night’s stay plus tax.
San Francisco Hotel Tax is 14%
24 hour notice of cancellation required to avoid charge of one night’s stay plus tax.
The Touchstone regretfully cannot provide accommodations for pets.
Extended Stay rates available upon request.
The reception desk closes at midnight. Guests must check in by midnight. Late arrivals, please call the Reservations Manager at least one day prior to arrival to make special arrangements for check-in (415-771-1600.)
